MISSION AND HISTORY
The goal of Park Place is to develop unity among communities, schools and students of Tuscarawas County by providing a safe, healthy, and entertaining environment in which to socialize.
Park Place Teen Center was a gift to the community by the late Max & Erma Miller who wanted to create a place where area teens could congregate and enjoy activities in a safe and enjoyable setting. The beautiful state-of-the-art center opened on May 24, 2000 in Tuscora Park, and has hosted many events such as concerts, competitions, musical instruction, birthday and graduation parties, as well as drug and tobacco awareness presentations.
The center has a 3- terminal computer station and a gaming station with 4- XBOX ONE, 2-Xbox 360, and Wii, including gaming on a big screen. High-tech sound and lighting makes concerts and regular dance nights special events.
A full service lunch counter is available and has a menu of burgers, fiies, soft drinks, milkshakes, and many other popular snacks including chips and candy bars. Specialty Drinks with park themes are popular on dance nights. Drinks such as "Ferris Wheel Coolers", "Carousel Cocktails" "Pink Panthers", or another favorite which honored an alge problem the park's lake experiences years ago, "Pond Scum".
